Guild President Valerie Mayer, who accepted the award, was also praised on behalf of The Guild’s exceptional fundraising work for crucial hospital programs totaling over $70,000 in 2009. Raising funds and providing vital services

The Guild makes a point of funding unique programs and services that help CPMC maintain a personal approach to patient care.

Campus Gift Shops
All proceeds from CPMC's four campus gifts shops, along with other funds raised by The Guild, go toward funding much needed hospital equipment and patient programs.

Clothes-in-Need Program
The purpose of Clothes-In-Need is to help CPMC’s patients who have no family or are otherwise without support, and are in need of clothing upon discharge. In 2009, The Guild donated funds to establish the program, with matching funds provided by CPMC Foundation. We are grateful to Walgreens Drugstore for generously providing the clothing at wholesale.

High School Student Volunteer Program
For the third year in a row, The Guild sponsored ten Galileo high school students as part of the school’s Health Academy Internship Program.

Woodywoof Knitting Project
The Guild donates funding for the ongoing Woodywoof Project that provides hand knitted blankets for pediatric patients and babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

About The Guild
